Q. I have signed up to receive email newsletters from The Business Journals, but have not started receiving them. Is there something wrong with my account?

A. First, you should check with your IT/Technical Support group to ensure emails from The Business Journals are not being filtered by the server at your company/ISP. If no filters are in place, please fill out our "help" form, here

Q. How do I change my email address, so I can continue to receive email newsletters from The Business Journals?

A. You can update your account by clicking here.

Q. What is my password?

A. To ensure your privacy, we do not keep passwords on file. If you know your username, but have forgotten your password, please use the "Forgot Your Password" link located on the My account page.  If you do not know your username or password, please contact Customer Service via the Contact Us page.

Q. I've tried using the "Forgotten your password" link however I never received the email with instructions on how to set up a new password.

A. First you should check with your IT/Technical Support group to ensure emails from The Business Journals are not being filtered by the server at your company/ISP. If no filters are in place, please fill out this form for help.

Q. I've received multiples of emails from The Business Journals. How do I make them stop?

A. Our systems are designed to send a single email for every product you are signed-up to receive. If you are seeing multiples of the same email, this could be caused by a malfunction on your company's (or ISP's) email server. Check first with your IT/Technical Support group to see if they can reconcile the situation. It is also important to realize that just because an email shows that it is from The Business Journals, it doesn't mean it was actually sent to you by The Business Journals. Many email marketing groups participate in what is referred to as "spoofing", where a random email address is chosen as their "from address". It is also possible that the email is a virus sent by an infected machine. Viruses will also spoof the "from" address using variations from the infected machine's address book. Check with your IT/Technical Support group if you are concerned about a virus, or SPAM. Also note: If you have set up multiple online accounts with The Business Journals, make sure you are not signed up to receive the same email newsletters to each account. If the information above does not address the issue, please fill out this form for help.

A: A print subscriber will receive a hard copy of the business journal(s) they subscribe to each week. A Digital Subscriber will not receive the printed business journal each week, but can access the same content, news and leads anytime with the Digital Edition.

Q: What is the Digital Edition?

A: Digital Edition is a complete replication of the weekly printed business journal which is viewable online. It is great for subscribers who travel often, live outside their business journal subscription market or for those who want to be the first to receive the business journal each week. If you are a Digital Subscriber only, it is also a great way to help the environment and cut down on the use of paper since you will not receive a printed copy of the business journal each week. To learn more, click here.

Q: How do I renew my business journal subscription?

A: There are a couple of ways to renew your subscription. If you have received a renewal notice in the mail, simply visit renew.bizjournals.com, enter the information from your renewal notice and renew your subscription online. This also provides an online renewal option. If you prefer to renew via phone, you can contact the publication directly.

Q: What is subscriber editorial content?

A: Subscriber editorial content includes all of the standard editorial content from the print and digital version of the business journal. Subscriber content is indicated on the website with a gold lock icon. To subscribe to your local business journal, click here.

When new business journal editorial content is posted online, the previous week's content will be moved to our archives.

Q: Do I need to be a business journal subscriber to have online access to subscriber editorial content?

A: Yes and No. Paid subscribers will have full access to any and all editorial content posted online by The Business Journals. A: This usually means that you have previously entered information from your subscription account and it is already linked. Q: Can I download a PDF of the issue and how long will it take?

A: Yes. PDFs of all weekly issues are available in your account which can be downloaded with a single click. You can also download a PDF from any Digital Edition. Once you open the Digital Edition, you can choose "Download a PDF". This will allow you to download the entire issue or individual pages. The amount of time it takes to download the PDF depends on a couple of factors, including file size and Internet connection speed. Most PDFs will take between 2-5 minutes to download, but some issues may take longer due to special sections, inserts or issues with a lot of graphics.

Q: How can I find my way through the Digital Edition?

A: Navigating the document can be done a couple of ways. You can use Bookmarks, page thumbnails or by picking a page to view using "Go to page" feature. You can also use your keyboard arrow keys to page through the issue. Thumbnails can be used to go from page to page. Click on the button called "Page Browser" and you will see small images of each page in the paper. Click on a thumbnail to go to that specific page. Thumbnails work best if you want to quickly browse the contents of each page.

At the top of the Digital Edition, you can select which page you want to read as well.

Click on the button above your digital issue indicating your current page and enter the page number you would like to see and hit "Enter" or "Go" to visit that page. You also can use the arrows to visit other pages.

Q: Will I continue to receive my print edition if I view the Digital Edition?

A: Yes, as a Print Subscriber you will continue to receive the printed copy of your paper. The Digital Edition is a subscriber perk and is not a replacement for the printed copy. Digital Subscribers do not receive a printed copy of the paper, but can access the Digital Edition at any time.

Q: I tried to view the Digital Edition, but it will not allow me to view the issue. What should I do?

A: The Digital Edition is only intended for paid subscribers. If your subscription has expired, you will not be able to view the issue. Also, if you have a trial or sample subscription you may not be able to use the Digital Edition. If you're a paid subscriber and are still unable to view the Digital Edition, please complete a customer service request, and we will provide assistance.

Q: My Digital Edition link has expired or I am having trouble viewing the issue.

A: We have put some protections in place to ensure the information contained in the business journal is only available to paid subscribers. Please go back to your online account and click on the issue date you would like to view within the "Subscriptions" tab.

Q: Can I share my Digital Edition with others?

A: No. Only the subscriber who has paid for their subscription can view the Digital Edition. The Digital Edition may not be distributed, disseminated or copied for any reason. This is part of our user agreement, and by viewing the Digital Edition or downloading a PDF, you agree to follow the rules spelled out in the user agreement. Anyone who wants to use the Digital Edition must purchase their own subscription or purchase multiple subscription licenses for the company or school.

Q: A story jumps to a different page. Do I have to scroll to the page where the story jump is located?

A: No. All you need to do is click on the Story Jump tagline at the end of the story. Here's an example. A story on page 3 jumps to page 27. At the bottom of the text on page 3, the paper will read "See STORY, page 27", where STORY is the name of the article. Click on the text "See STORY, page 27" and it will take you to the rest of the story.

Q: How do I download the Digital Edition so I can read it offline?

A: You must download the file in order to view the Digital Edition offline. To do this, click the "Download a PDF" button after opening the Digital Edition. Select the pages you would like to download and click "Download Selected" or choose "Download All" to create a PDF of the entire issue. A new window or tab will open with the new PDF. It will take about 2-5 minutes to download depending on the speed of your internet connection. Also, remember that a PDF of each weekly issue is available in your account for download with a single click.

Q: How can I get back issues of the Digital Editions?

A: To view the Digital Edition archive, you can click the View All Issues link in your online account. You can also click the View Archive button when viewing your Digital Edition. You can also view the PDF version on many other devices which do not support flash, but have a PDF viewer program such as the iPhone, iPad and other devices. To view the PDF you can access this directly from your account as detailed above or email the PDF to yourself and access from your mobile device.

Q: The Digital Edition and PDF contains a lot of data that is useful to my business, such as Business Leads and Records. Can I extract that data from the electronic edition and input it into my computer systems for my own use?

A: No. The Digital Edition and downloaded PDF are covered by all U.S. copyright laws, just like the print version. We will not allow the electronic edition to be altered, edited or manipulated in any way as it is a violation of copyright law.
