    My first listen to Chris and his Southern Soul Band was when they opened for John Mayall at the Granada Theater. Their much too short set left me wanting more. Much more and to my delight, they announced they would be playing later, next door at The Sundown. Amazing energy and the horn section is tight! He had people up dancing and just swinging to his music. Chris really connects with his audience. Fortunately he plays all around the DFW Metroplex all the time.

    I had the great fortune of catching Chris Watson Band at Tolberts August 1. I always listen on You Tube before heading out so I expected a good performance. The live performance was amazing! Don't pass up the opportunity to check them out!

    Chris Watson is a MAJOR LEAGUE TALENT...! I recently stumbled across this musical heavy weight on Spotify and instantly purchased both of his recent releases (Chris Watson Band/Pleasure and Pain & Chris Watson/Black, White and Gray). Why this artist is mainstream and played on a steady loop across the radio dial, I'll never know. I just hope people wake up and get hip the CW's talents. I will certainly spread the word! Nice to know the creative spirit is alive and well in the world (sometimes I wonder with the crap that's produced and called music). Cheers Chris.. thanks for the music.

    Just as I told you last night, Chris.......certainly missed that B3 sound but super musical seamless adjustment to that cool horn section!! R&B all the way buddy!! Vocals have never sounded better!! Also...........now you've made me yearn for one of those fabulous versatile Delaney guitars!! Already been in touch with your buddy Mike in Georgia!! I keep telling you we should get together for a Denton open door guitar clinic..........I know I'll surprise you because our tastes and guitar styles are very parallel and as I'm certain you'd gain some concepts as well as me.....I just still need to heal from my recent cancer surgery. Jim
