Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga continue their beautiful friendship with plans for a joint concert at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on April 24, 2015. Despite their 60-year age difference, the duo have established a strong bond in their collaborative jazz album, Cheek To Cheek, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts and are now taking their show on the road.
The 88-year-old crooner and the 28-year-old pop star made two New York appearances on Wednesday — on Good Morning America and at the Christmas tree lighting at Rockefeller Center, broadcast on NBC — to promote the album and gush about each other.
Bennett called Gaga a "great performer," and she called him "a tremendous inspiration" and added that their collaboration is "the greatest thing that ever happened to me."
"I feel so at home with him and his family, his entire band and my guys are here too. We're just so happy," she said.
The duo will perform in Las Vegas on New Year's Eve before embarking on their tour. Tickets for the Woodlands stop will go on sale Dec. 12 at 10 a.m. at www.ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster Outlets, or charge by phone 1-800-745-3000.
Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets beginning Dec. 10 at 10 a.m through Citi’s Private Pass Program.
The concert will feature a full orchestra along with each artist's jazz ensembles who will also serve as special guests for the evening.
