Surpassed sales goals, as well as the crazy continuing demand for condos in Houston, are moving one builder to add three stories to a proposed mid-rise boutique condominium planned for the Buffalo Bayou Park area.

Sugar Land-based Sims Luxury Builders revealed the changes to Riva on the Park on its Facebook page.

"We have surpassed our sales goals and have now pre-sold 12 units," the Facebook post reads. "As a result of the promising demand for condos in this development, Riva will now offer three stories of parking, seven stories of living and 29 units in all."

The 160-acre green space, which is undergoing a $58 million renovation scheduled to be complete in the second quarter of 2015, is a short walk from the condos.

Updated renderings are not yet available.

Sims Luxury Builders initially introduced the project in September as a seven-story, 22-unit mid-rise condo to be located at 3331 D'Amico Street off Allen Parkway with balconies and walls of glass overlooking Buffalo Bayou Park. The 160-acre green space, which is undergoing a $58 million renovation scheduled to be complete in the second quarter of 2015, is a short walk from the condos.

Developers are also touting the condo for its proximity to Lost Lake at Dunlavy, the much-anticipated private event restaurant from the Clark Cooper team, and nearby dog and skate parks.

Riva on the Park is still offering nine different two- and three-bedroom floor plans ranging from 2,100 to 3,572 square feet and starting at $800,000. Details in the units include custom-designed Eggersmann kitchen cabinetry and Miele appliances for the kitchens.

A spacious guest lobby, controlled access to the building, fitness facility and climate controlled storage units are among some of the other features, including energy-efficient windows and doors.

Riva at the Park is expected to be completed in the summer of 2016.
