Residential Rehabilitation Program

Town Reopens Applications for Residential Rehabilitation Program for Qualifying Residents
November 3, 2014

The Town of Flower Mound started a Residential Rehabilitation Program in 2012 to assist low- and moderate- income homeowners in Flower Mound with the rehabilitation of their single-family, owner-occupied houses through a grant provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The Town will reopen the application process for this program on November 3rd. Applicants must meet HUD income requirements, have an eligible property for repairs, and repairs need to be feasible for rehabilitation. Once all criteria are met, applicants will receive program assistance in the form of a forgivable loan up to $60,000, which will be forgiven over the course of five years. Once funds are committed, the program will be suspended until additional funds are available. For more information, please call the Town of Flower Mound Grants and Financial Analyst, Kay Wilkinson, at 972.874.6040.
