How the Library Uses Donations
The Flower Mound Public Library decides the disposition of all gifts. In most cases, the donations are given to the Friends of the Flower Mound Public Library for its book sales. Proceeds from the sales have enabled the Friends to provide funding to purchase books and other materials for the library and to sponsor library projects and activities.

Items may be added to the library collection based on the Library’s Collection Development Policy or donated to the Friends of the Library for their use. The library cannot accept donations with stipulations.

Donation Drop Off Location
All donations, small or large, are welcome. Donations can be dropped off at the Flower Mound Public Library during open hours.

Gifts Are Tax Deductible
Yes. Contributions to the Flower Mound Public Library or the Friends of the Library are tax deductible. A receipt is available upon request. Just ask a library staff member or the Friends of the Library for one. If an itemized list of your donation is required for income tax purposes, please complete the list before bringing your donation to the library.

Please note that representatives from the Flower Mound Public Library or the Friends of the Library cannot establish or affirm the value of your donation.
