Overview
Flower Mound is located in North Central Texas at the southern edge of Denton County between Lake Grapevine and Lewisville Lake. The Town is 28 miles northwest of Dallas, 25 miles northeast of Fort Worth, and three miles north of Dallas / Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport making it "ten minutes from anywhere in the world."

Denton County is one of 254 counties in Texas and includes 958 square miles with more than 40 municipalities within its boundaries. Denton County's 2013 estimated population is 728,799.

A small area on the southern boundary of Flower Mound is located in Tarrant County. Tarrant County's 2013 estimated population is 1,911,541.

Dallas / Forth Worth Metroplex (DFW)
The Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington, TX Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) is comprised of two metropolitan divisions: Dallas-Plano-Irving on the east and Fort Worth-Arlington on the west. In 2013, the DFW Metroplex has an estimated population of 6,810,913. Flower Mound is centrally located in the DFW Metroplex between I-35E and I-35W, making it a short drive to neighboring cities.
