For PROPERTY OWNERS - Fairfax Water needs the following information:

Please provide the following information:

• The service address
• The name(s) to appear on your account
• Your telephone number(s) 
• Your email address
• Your mailing address (if different from the service address)
• The date service should begin - Please note that we do not schedule service requests on weekends or holidays. 

To have water service turned on, Fairfax Water needs to collect certain information. You can provide the information by telephone to our Customer Service Department at 703-698-5800 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. ET. Or you can use our Online Account Request Forms.

There are no fees required at the time you open your account. However, your initial bill will include an Account Charge of $36.00.   Bills are rendered on a quarterly basis. Your first bill will be generated by the next meter reading scheduled for the property.

For TENANTS (RENTERS) - Fairfax Water needs the following information:

Tenant accounts are required to submit the REVISED! - Tenant Authorization form and a Lien Offset payment of $190 to establish service. Therefore, information cannot be entered online. Please be aware that your request will not be processed until both items are received. You can call our Customer Service Department at 703-698-5800 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. ET to request this service.

• Your email address.
• Your mailing address (if different from the service address).
• The date service should begin - Please note that we do not schedule service requests on weekends or holidays. 
• Owner Information (Owner name and mailing address - the owner's mailing address must be different from the service address).
• REVISED! - Tenant Authorization form, to be filled out and signed by the owner/landlord.
• Remittance of $190.00 Lien Offset payment, paid by the tenant - must be paid by cash, money order or check payable to Fairfax Water. For your convenience and a fee, we also take check and credit card payments by phone and online via Speedpay®. Call us for more information.

Both the Tenant Authorization form and the Lien Offset payment are required to establish service.

• Bring or mail to our office at: ATTN: Customer Service, 8570 Executive Park Ave, Fairfax, VA 22031. If delivering in person, our office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET Monday through Friday. Or, you may use our night drop box if it is after hours. Please pull the lever down slowly to reveal the drop slot.

Please tell us how/when we will receive the $190.00.

$190.00 Lien Offset payment can be brought to or mailed to our office in cash, money order or check (made out to Fairfax Water) at: ATTN: Customer Service, 8570 Executive Park Ave, Fairfax, VA 22031. Please be aware that our ability to turn on service is based on you satisfying all of the requirements, as they apply to you. If you do not, it will result in a delay in processing your request.
