22nd Annual Celebration Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

Sunday, January 18, 6:30 p.m.
Join The Committee to Commemorate M. L. King Jr. Day by honoring the immeasurable contributions of Dr. King in this annual celebration. This year’s event will be held at the Lewisville High School Auditorium and will include entertainment and a keynote speaker. Everyone is welcome to attend and enjoy this free event. NEW! My Family Valentine
Saturday, February 7, 6 to 9 p.m.
Spend a special night with all of your loved ones! Enjoy a Salerno’s Italian dinner and an evening full of family activities including entertainment, great music and dancing, crafts, and a photo booth to make a memorable keepsake of the event. Registration is required by February 4. Valentine's Night Out

Saturday, February 14, 6 to 10 p.m.
Want something fun for the kids to do while you enjoy a romantic Valentine's evening out? Parks & Recreation staff is offering a special after-hours Kids' Night Out event, filled with pizza, swimming, gym games, and hanging out in the Chill Zone. At the end of the evening, a movie will be played on a giant screen in the gym, so bring something comfortable to relax on! Registration is required by February 12. Kid's Night Out
Friday, January 16, 6 to 9 p.m.
Friday, March 27, 6 to 9 p.m.

Kids can enjoy a night without the parents! This program is filled with fun kids' activities such as swimming, eating pizza, organized games and crafts, and watching a movie at the CAC. Arrive ready to jump in the pool, but don't forget a towel and a change of clothes. Pre-registration is required at least two days before each event. For more information, call 972.874.6280.

Truck Rodeo
Wednesday, April 22, 3 to 4:30 p.m.
See Town vehicles from the Parks, Streets, Animal Control, Fire and Police Departments up close in the Library parking lot. Operators will be available to answer questions and let children sit in the driver's seat. All ages welcome. Don't forget your camera! Fore more information, call 972.874.6200.

KID FISH
Saturday, April 25, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The Rheudasil Park Pond will be stocked with more than 500 lbs of catfish for the event, which is free for youth ages 16 and younger. Prizes and awards will be given in several categories. 16th Annual Father Daughter Prom
Saturday, May 2, 6 to 9 p.m.
Share a special experience with your daughter and show how much you love her! Fathers and their daughters are invited to dress to impress for a memorable evening of dancing, entertainment, food, and unforgettable father daughter bonding time at the elegant DFW Hilton Hotel. Photographers will be on-site to take photos for an additional charge. Registration is required by April 18. Registration with multiple children must take place in person at the CAC. 
  • Father's Menu: Green salad, chicken marsala, sliced London broil, scalloped potatoes, wild rice, veggies, iced tea or coffee, dessert.
  • Daughter's Menu: Chicken tenders, mini hamburgers, mashed potatoes, green beans, fruit cups, soft drinks, and dessert.
