Our skin care treatments cover a variety of common skin care problems. Those who suffered or are suffering from acne can benefit from the Aramis laser treatment or Clear Concept treatment. Both have produced great results for former patients and are successful in reducing current acne and scarring from previous acne outbreaks. Innovations Medical also offers skin care treatments to prevent aging, such as medical-grade facial peels, medical-grade cosmeceuticals and cosmetics, youth-capturing injections and laser aging prevention and wrinkle reduction. Our signature service, the complete skin fitness package, reverses many of the effects of aging and maintains good skin health through microdermabrasion, Aramis laser and photofacial and optional BOTOX Cosmetic. Other skin care treatment options include laser hair reduction, stretch mark reduction, medical microdermabrasion and the Photofacial for spots and spider vein reduction. FAMI is different from other Fat Transfer procedures.

Traditional fat transfer, also called autologus fat transplantation, has been around for a couple decades. Though the idea has stayed the same, the techniques and processes have changed dramatically. FAMI brings a new way of thinking to the fat transfer procedure. It begins to take in account the patient's facial vascular paths, and as a result, patient can now see more consistency in the final outcome. The new FAMI technique uses the facial vascular network and places the fat into/under the facial muscles to provide long-lasting, symmetric results. FAMI is also the only procedure that uses custom designed fat transfer cannulas to place the harvested fat into the vascular facial muscle bed.

FAMI is an acronym for Fat Autograft Muscle Injection. FAMI represents a minimally invasive, fat transfer procedure that addresses the loss of fat that people see in their faces over years of aging. Dr. Johnson harvests fat from areas you do not want it, refines it, and then carefully re-injects it into specific areas of your face. It is truly a mixture of science and art, and in turn, offers a worthy substitution for fillers or face lifts. Dr. Johnson plans the procedure by comparing a current photo of the patient to a photo of the patient when they were 18-20 years old. At 18-20, our bodies have the most fat in the facial areas, and photos from this age provide accurate representations of what was, and what could be after fat transfer. At Innovations Medical, all FAMI procedures are done while awake, under local anesthesia. This technique allows the patient to walk out of the office and lessen post procedure downtime.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) – Another 1st For Dr. Johnson

At Innovations Medical, achieving the most flattering cosmetic outcome is one of our main priorities. In recent years, much research has been done on improving fat transfer techniques and results. It is documented that Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is an integral addition to achieving desired fat transfer outcomes. PRP is safe and poses no infectious risk to the patient because it's made from the patient's own plasma.

Platelets provide initial hemostasis and release mediators to help modulate the inflammatory response involved with wound healing.

Acoustic Wave Therapy (AWT) has been a life saver for those with stubborn cellulite that just won't disappear. AWT uses pressure waves that impact both of the major causes of cellulite: fibrous septae and protrusion of fat into the lower dermis. The AWT produces a pressure wave that passes through skin and fat to impact the fibrous septae. The pressure breaks up the collagen of the septae and releases the skin, allowing a smoother surface. AWT also helps to thicken the dermis and decrease fat protrusion. Ultrasound pictures confirm dermal thickening after treatment. Dr. Johnson was the 1st in the United States to offer AWT.
