SCRANTON — DHS Technologies LLC and its subsidiary, DHS Systems LLC, have agreed to pay the federal government more than $1.9 million.

The company, which did business with Tobyhanna Army Depot and elsewhere in Northeast Pennsylvania, violated the False Claims Act by failing to disclose to the General Services Administration that it offered greater discounts to a private company for the same items during the negotiation for a government contract.

This resulted in federal agencies paying more for the products from 2007 through 2013, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office. The company agreed to pay $1.9 million plus interest to resolved the issue, United States Attorney Peter Smith said in a news release.

DHS is an international provider of mobile shelters and trailer-mounted support systems for military, medical, government and civilian organizations.
