The Terminal Bar at Denver Union Station. 1701 Wynkoop St. According to Thrillist: "A bevy of local brews dot the menu from Great Divide, Black Shirt Brewing, Avery, and Left Hand -- but if you find yourself yearning for something stronger, TB will pour you a classic concoction from a Martinez to a Rusty Nail."

An after-hour cocktail or craft brew after a long week at work is pretty much just the thing most Denverites need.

And in the Mile High City, happy hour can be a train stop away, smack-dab in the middle of a redeveloping neighborhood like RiNo or Five Points, near the murky South Platte River, downtown, uptown, you name it.

Thrillist's latest ranking names the best 11 new Denver bars of 2014, so distinguished based on a number of factors such as:

  • Location.
  • Creativity and quantity of available brews, spirits and drinks.
  • Ambience and atmosphere.
