On October 24, 2014, the KEOS Board of Directors and KEOS supporters gathered at the home of Joanne Bergman and Ed Borowiec to celebrate community radio. The evening’s entertainment featured the music of Jeff Cooper and Claire Domingue, along with a special visit by Dan Wargo, host of “The Hayride” and “The Stone Age,” syndicated programs that air each week on KEOS. The evening raised $1,585 for all-volunteer community radio.

Many thanks to Joanne and Ed for hosting this successful event. Additionally, thanks to Little Caesars Pizza—located at Highway 6 and Booneville Road in Bryan and at Texas Avenue and Southwest Parkway in College Station—for their generous donation to the fundraiser.

The KEOS Board of Directors organizes several celebrations a year in people’s homes. The more intimate settings give KEOS supporters a chance to meet KEOS volunteers and musicians who generously give their time and talents to support the station. This year’s installment of the annual Volunteer Jam will happen on Sunday, October 5th at the Lakeside Ice House on the banks of Lake Bryan. The multi-artist live music event will commence at 1PM and the last performer takes the stage at 7Pm. There will also be a silent auction with lots of great crafts, gift certificates, and all-around-goodies that runs from 1PM until 6PM.
