Tacos and Tequila Is Now Serving Hangovers and Hangover Cures in Uptown
Nestled between Crush Craft Thai and a liquor store, and across the street from Dee Lincoln Steak and Burger Bar, is the newly opened TnT Tacos and Tequila. The Austin-based restaurant comes from the same group that birthed the Blue Mesa chain. The polished industrial style of the interior delivers a sleek laid back vibe with an airy downstairs patio as well as a rooftop bar that gives a mixed view of Uptown and downtown. Once the upstairs bar is complete and the weather is right, there will be no shortage of V necks for as far as the eyes can see.

If you're going to have "Tequila" in your restaurant name, you better bring your A game. TnT does. Narrowed down to three categories of tequila (Blanco, Reposado, and Anejo), their menu is loaded with more than 100 tequilas for you to challenge your liver on any given day. There are even a handful of premiums to choose from.
There is also a refined - not too big, but not too small - tequila drink list that includes cocktails like an Anejo Old Fashion, Cucumber Jalapeno Margarita, and a Spiced Pumpkin Margarita that will have you donning UGGs and yoga pants in no time. Because even when it's a sunny 75 degrees outside, it's still scarf weather in Dallas.
Infusions are also concocted on premise with a special tequila underground on Thursdays from 6 to 9 p.m., where the mixologists get creative with discounted drinks. For the true enthusiast, Mezcal is found on the menu, thus becoming one more option in the limited Dallas Mezcal scene.
Although the taco with handmade tortillas is the obvious choice here, TnT offers food skewered, wrapped, or as salads, most of which have a Southwestern influence. There are eight selections to choose from, ranging from meaty choices like BBQ pulled pork, Rojo Shrimp, and Corn Crusted Chicken, to a Southwest Veggie option. While the individual tacos are moderately priced, there is a three taco combo under the specialty platters of the menu that includes a side that makes financial sense to order.

Like Blue Mesa's much lauded weekend brunch, T nT also boasts of their set-priced brunch, even labeling itself on their Facebook page as a "Breakfast & Brunch Restaurant." Breakfast tacos are served all day and much to one's surprise, donut holes are available. Don't question this, weekend brunchers. Just accept it.
