In 1996, Raycom Sports recruited East Carolina to play N.C. State in what was then Charlotte’s brand new NFL stadium. Eighteen years later, what began with an occasional regular-season college matchup uptown has turned into a broader alliance with the Atlantic Coast Conference and an up-and-coming reputation in a sport that ignored the city for many years.

"It's a new concept for us," owner Ken Romaniszyn says of the new Lady M Gallery concept coming to the Queen City — it will incorporate the cake maker's sweet treats with local art.
