Ben L. Culwell | A Retrospective of the Texas Abstract Expressionist

David Dike Fine Art presents a collection of paintings by Abstract Expressionist painter Ben L. Culwell (Am. 1918-1992) from the artist’s estate. Culwell’s career was launched to the national level when he was included in the MoMA’s 1946 exhibition of Fourteen Americans alongside Arshile Gorky, Robert Motherwell and Mark Toby, which shortly followed his one-man exhibition at the Dallas Museum of Art in 1945.

Discovering Larry John Palsson

These before and after photos are an example of the minor paint loss to Palsson’s paintings and the subsequent restoration.

Among the many fascinating aspects of conserving art are the amazing stories behind these treasures. Brown Mountain Art Restoration prides itself in the preservation and restoration techniques used on fine works of art to ensure that people can view them in the way the artist originally intended. Recently, Brown Mountain worked on such a project.

New antiques arrive from France

Country French Interiors received a large shipment of antique furnishings and accessories from France, thoughtfully selected by French antiques dealer and Versailles native Bruno de la Croix-Vaubois.

The showroom features a new selection of fruitwood pieces and decorative items, comprised of painted chairs and armchairs, commodes, chests, mirrors, sconces and many other interesting pieces.
