His heart is set on one thing, a Red Ryder BB gun, much to the dismay of his mother. Even the department store Santa Claus seems sour on the idea. "You'll shoot your eye out!" becomes a common refrain. Christmas morning finally arrives, and it looks like he will be disappointed, but his dad saves the day, and the now delighted Ralphie takes his treasured toy outside. Tickets are only $15. It’s an event with a cause as the Observer is awarding local artists with monetary grants for service to the Arts and the Community. These individuals were chosen from a panel of local cultural denizens, philanthropists and community-organizers. Dallas Observer will donate over $6,000 in grants to our Mastermind Awards winners. The winners will be featured in a special section of Dallas Observer, and will be honored at the event on January 17th.
