Motorcycle rider killed Sunday night after crashing into car crossing Trinity River

Dallas police confirm that a motorcycle rider was killed crossing the Trinity River late Sunday night.

The incident occurred around 10:45 p.m., police say. That’s when a man traveling southbound on the Hampton Road bridge crashed into the back of a southbound car. Police believe the man on the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed, but a spokesperson says this morning that the accident remains under investigation.

The dead man’s name has not been released, as police have yet to positively ID the body. After that, next of kin will be notified.
