Many of the colleges and universities on this week's list are upgrading their MBA programs to attract new students. In fact, 56 percent of survey respondents are now offering online MBA courses.

Others are adding new study concentrations. Baker University, the No. 1 ranked program on the list, added a leadership and organizational behavior concentration, and Wichita State University made upgrades to its finance, entrepreneurship and executive MBA programs.

Benefits to pursuing an MBA degree include network building, improving breadth and depth of knowledge, plus opportunities for career advancement, according to MBA program directors surveyed for the list.

Reporter Josh Heck delved deeper into how Kansas universities are updating their MBA programs in his related list article.
