American Eagle flights now have expanded Dallas/Fort Worth Airport home

Work nears completion in mid-April on a new Terminal B concourse and 10 gates for American Eagle at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. The airport announced Thursday the concourse is open.

Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport said Thursday they’re opening the “stinger,” the long, thin extension of Terminal B that includes 10 gates and a new concourse branching off the existing terminal.

The gates are to be used by regional jets operated by American Eagle-branded carriers at the airport. Their operations are centered at Terminal B.

“These new gates give DFW Airport additional capacity for hosting flights in Terminal B, and a beautiful new space for customers to enjoy as they await their flights,” airport CEO Sean said in the airport’s announcement.

“We’ve also added some very nice customer touches in the new concourse, including a comfort zone seating area, charging stations, and of course, our fast and free WiFi,” he said.

The arm off of Terminal B replaced one existing gate, so the net gain is nine gates. The airport said the new concourse is the first to be opened since Terminal D was completed in July 2005.
