St. Louis Symphony album nominated for two Grammys

The St. Louis Symphony's recording of John Adams' "City Noir" has been nominated for two Grammy Awards, the Recording Academy announced.
The symphony, composed by Adams and with David Robertson conducting the symphony, was nominated for Best Orchestral Performance and Best Engineered (Classical) Album. Richard King engineered the recording and David Robertson was the mastering engineer. The Nonesuch Records label released the album. Nonesuch's other artists include Wilco, the Black Keys and the Kronos Quartet.
The St. Louis Symphony reported 2014 revenue of $26.1 million, down $900,000 from last year. Expenses for the symphony were $28.3 million and its operating deficit was $2.2 million, down from $2.6 million last year and the smallest deficit for the symphony in 14 years.
The nonprofit's endowment had a market value of $169.4 million at the end of fiscal year 2014, up from $148.7 million in the prior year.
