No. 100: DataSong
John Wallace, CEO
The San Francisco big data apps company grew 59.5 percent from 2011 to 2013.

Decision that most influenced fast growth: Believing in ourselves and investing in our own platform.
Biggest mistake: Not mastering real-time, forward-looking change management soon enough in our company's life to be able to scale internally for that rapid growth and change.
Advice for other entrepreneurs: A business only fails for one reason — it runs out of cash. No matter what risk profile you’re running, never lose sight of that.

Researcher- San Francisco Business Times

Congratulations to the 2014 Class of the Fast 100, the San Francisco Business Times' annual ranking of the fastest-growing private companies.

The 100 companies that made the San Francisco Business Times list come from nearly every industry and include food companies, e-commerce startups and software firms.

Even the slowest of these fastest-growing companies had more than 50 percent growth between fiscal years 2011 to 2013, which is the time frame used for the Fast 100.
