The long-awaited fast-casual burger chain Smashburger has announced the opening of its new Raleigh location.
The 2,400-square-foot restaurant will open Dec. 17 at the Shops at Falls Village, 6679 Falls of Neuse Road in North Raleigh, next to Moe's Southwest Grill. This will be the Triangle's second Smashburger after the opening of the first in Durham at the Pavilion East at Lakeview, in March.
Local franchise owners Jayshri and Ketan Patel run both locations.
There are more than 290 restaurant locations, and the company says the Raleigh location won't just feature burgers. They say it will include regional tastes in its dishes, such as a Carolina Chili Smashburger and Smashchicken sandwiches.
The restaurant has seating for 83 guests and patio seating for 36.
