Amazon.com Inc. mistakenly sent a London man $5,600 worth of merchandise, and told him to keep the stuff after he let the company know about the error.
The Daily Mail in London reported that 22-year-old Robert Quinn started getting 51 packages beginning last week, including a $1,390 TV set and a $528 Samsung tablet.
Quinn said he called Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) to report the packages, and was told by the company to keep them, "it's on us."
He said he believes a computer glitch sent the packages to his parents' home, and he said he'll keep some of the gifts, give others to charity and sell some back to Amazon.
