ENERGY STAR Meetings

Dear ENERGY STAR® Partners and Stakeholders,

In response to the electrical fire at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown on Saturday, the 2014 ENERGY STAR Products Partner Meeting has been relocated to The Phoenician.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) would like to provide the following updates for meeting attendees:

1. Meeting location

2. Sleeping Rooms

a. For those holding sleeping room reservations at the Sheraton

For those holding sleeping room reservations at the Sheraton, your new sleeping rooms are at the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort. Complimentary transportation to and from the meeting venue is being arranged; more details will be provided as soon as we have them.

Important: How to Proceed

1. Please still proceed to the Sheraton to check in with them.
2. The Sheraton will handle your check-in and provide complimentary transportation to the Hilton Squaw Peak.

b. For those holding sleeping room reservations at the Westin

Room reservations at the Westin have not been affected. Complimentary transportation options to and from the meeting venue are being researched and details will be communicated as soon as possible.

3. ENERGY STAR Products Expo

The ENERGY STAR Products Expo will take place at the Phoenician, in the Estrella Theater and Grand Ballroom Foyers. All shipments sent to the Sheraton for the Expo are being delivered to the Phoenician. The set up schedule for Sunday and Monday remains the same.

GES is working with the U.S. EPA to recreate the original layout to the extent possible. For any GES expo-related questions please contact Kim Dickinson at 602-725-2737. For your convenience, she will be located onsite during set up.

Please note: if you have made arrangements directly with the Sheraton independent of EPA, you will have to contact the Phoenician directly to research alternative options. The Phoenician is doing everything possible to meet the ENERGY STAR meeting and sleeping room requirements; they are standing by to help you, but please know that they may not be able to accommodate all requests due to space constraints. If you have an emergency, please contact Elizabeth Caiafa at 202-257-3055 or Hewan Tomlinson at 202-302-1094. They are on site and working with the hotel on the remaining details.

NEW! FINAL MEETING MATERIALS

In an effort to reduce the level of resources associated with the meeting, EPA is proudly offering all meeting materials in electronic format, with the exception of the meeting agenda, which will still be printed and provided to all attendees onsite.

We encourage all attendees to print out only those documents they deem the most necessary.
