The Manufacturer's Association of Florida on Dec. 4 named Nautique Boat Co. the 2014 Manufacturer of the Year.

The Orlando-based boat maker received the award at the 2014 MAF Manufacturer's Summit in Destin. The award is given to manufacturers who demonstrate leadership in all areas of its business, and winners are selected based on site visits and operational reviews from various manufacturing peers and MAF officials. Previous winners of the award include Lockheed Martin, Harris Corp. and Johnson & Johnson.

"We have an amazing team at Nautique; I am so incredibly proud of them for winning this award," said Nautique President and CEO Bill Yeargin, in a prepared statement. "There are many world-class manufacturers in Florida and the examination of our operations was rigorous; to be selected as the best in the state is a real tribute to a special group of people who make up the Nautique team."

Nautique previously has been named its industry's Manufacturer of the Year and recently was recognized by the National Marine Manufacturers Association for excellence in customer satisfaction.

In addition, Nautique this year brought back the U.S Open of Water Skiing to Orlando, attracting thousand of visitors to the area.

Orlando-based boat maker Correct Craft owns Nautique, as well as sister company Aktion Parks.
