Disney to launch interactive educational apps

The Walt Disney Co. (NYSE: DIS) will launch a series of digital interactive educational apps to help children learn more about math, science and social skills.
The company announced Dec. 4 that it will launch its education app initiative called Disney Imagicademy next week, the Orlando Sentinel reports.
The base app for the program, which targets kids ages 3 to 8, is free but the cost for others will range from $4.99 to $20.
The mobile education games market is a $228 million business and is expected to reach more than $400 million in 2018.
