- Assistant Managing Editor- Charlotte Business Journal
The Charlotte Business Journal's Fast 50 program recognizes the fastest-growing private companies in the Charlotte region. Companies qualified for the rankings based on a formula that reflects dollar and percentage growth during a three-year period.
Companies applied for inclusion by submitting nominations that included financial performance. The companies had to have annual revenue of at least $1 million in 2013. They also must be based in the 16-county Charlotte region: Alexander, Anson, Cabarrus, Catawba, Chester, Chesterfield, Cleveland, Gaston, Iredell, Lancaster, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Rowan, Stanly, Union and York.
Accounting firm CliftonLarsonAllen evaluated the nominations to determine the rankings.
CliftonLarsonAllen is the title sponsor of the Fast 50 awards. Presenting sponsors are Accrue Partners, SunTrust Banks and UPS; associate sponsors are Business Wise, Live Nation and State Tax Credit Exchange; event partners are the Charlotte Chamber, Junior Achievement of Central Carolinas, the Business Innovation & Growth (BIG) Council and the World Affairs Council of Charlotte.
The Fast 50 companies for 2014 are listed in the Dec. 5 print edition of the CBJ, with the top five companies profiled. See our expanded online section here.
