It's a "magical" time of year at Shea's Performing Arts Center. Not only is Cinderella on stage now through Sunday, Dec. 7, the theater is gearing up for an influx of holiday ticket sales.

Six performances are ready to debut at Shea's box office this weekend. Lisa Grisanti, marketing and public relations director at Shea's, says tickets for Chicago, Kinky Boots, Million Dollar Quartet, Dancing Pros Live, Let It Be (Beatles show) and The Illusionists go on sale Sunday.

Motown tickets are also available, not to mention additional performances at Shea's 710 Main Theatre.

Grisanti says there's been "great response to this season" and she expects it to continue over the holidays, when people buy tickets as holiday gifts.

That adds to the already strong season ticket base this year.

"This season is a record year for us for the number of season tickets sold," she said. "We have over 13,700 season tickets sold."

More than 23,000 people visited Shea's this week to see Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella, which was part of Shea's annual lineup.

The Tony Award winning Broadway musical is a mix of the traditional story, with some new twists.

Will dreams come true for ticket holders who are hoping to live "happily ever after?" Stay Tuned.
