ColoCrossing has opened its new network operations center at Main Place Tower in downtown Buffalo.

ColoCrossing is leasing about 2,500 square feet of space from Emeryville, Calif.-based 365 DataCenters at 390 Main Street, which has long been a hub for telecommunications and data.

"Moving network operations into the same building as our data centers will provide for improved monitoring of our customers' systems and quicker response times to any issues," said Joe Robinson, ColoCrossing's vice president of corporate development.

The new location, which opened on Dec. 4, will house approximately 15 ColoCrossing employees, including about five new hires. The 30-person company is also in the process of moving from Williamsville to its new headquarters at 325 Delaware Ave. in Buffalo. Robinson said they're targeting the office move to take place in the first quarter of 2015.
