Bensons Surgical shuts Williamsville store

Bensons Surgical Supply has consolidated, closing its Williamsville store and folding business into its headquarters site in Kenmore.
The company, locally owned and operated for over 50 years, sells a variety of durable medical equipment, including wheelchairs, blood pressure monitors, prosthetic devices, compression therapy stockings as well as supplies like face masks and latex gloves.
The retail store on Transit Road had been open since 2011. The main site operates from a retail complex on Delaware Avenue in the Village of Kenmore.
Gena Stephan has owned the company since 2006.
