The Brass Bear will join Publix and a host of other tenants at Valleydale Village.

The Brass Bear, an antiques and furniture store, is coming to Valleydale Village shopping center in Hoover.

The store will occupy 30,000 square feet in the center, located at the intersection of Valleydale Road and Caldwell Mill Road. The exact address is 5180-5192 Caldwell Mill Road.

The Brass Bear is expected to move in during the first quarter of 2015.

The shopping center's new owners confirmed the lease this week after the property was acquired by The Rosen Group for $14 million.

The Rosen Group is currently making improvements to the area of the center where the new store will call home.

Piggly Wiggly and Big B Drugs once combined to occupy the large space.

With this lease signed, the occupancy rate at the center has spiked. Around 38,000 square feet was available at Valleydale Village prior to this lease. Now around 8,000 square feet remains to be leased.

The Brass Bear will join Publix, Subway, Taco bell, Brava Rotisserie Grill and others at the center.
