Georgia ranked No. 1 in U.S. for barbecue-- TripAdvisor.com users selected Georgia as the No. 1 state in the nation for barbecue and named three Georgia barbecue restaurants to a Top 10 barbecue restaurants list.

Spanx CEO steps down-- Spanx Inc. CEO Laurie Ann Goldman left the shapewear empire. Goldman, who joined Spanx in 2002 when the hosiery company was just two years old, used the skills she picked up during 10 years with Atlanta-based The Coca-Cola Co. (NYSE: KO) to help grow the company from five employees to a shapewear giant.

Hank Aaron: Republicans who oppose Obama are like the KKK-- "Sure, this country has a black president, but when you look at a black president, President Obama is left with his foot stuck in the mud from all of the Republicans with the way he's treated," Aaron told USA Today Sports. "... The bigger difference is that back then they had hoods. Now they have neckties and starched shirts."

Born in Atlanta: A new way to buy a car-- Carvana, a company that allows customers to buy a car completely over the Internet, from click to delivery, launched nationwide after having a successful first-year test run in Atlanta.

Carvana backs Tesla in dealership fight; offers pre-owned Tesla-- Online auto retailer Carvana is offering its first certified pre-owned Tesla. Carvana says the deal allows Tesla to work around problems the car company has faced in states that say it must sell through franchised dealerships.
