nfrastructure, a Saratoga County, New York company that builds computer networks and data centers for Google and IBM, is on pace to break the $100 million revenue mark for the first time this year.
"2014 was a very busy year," said Dan Pickett III, chairman and chief executive officer. "If you think about retail or banking or education or advanced manufacturing with their tools going on the 'net the demands are growing to build out the network and run them effectively."
Pickett started the company in 1992 with his father and brother in the basement of the family's Mechanicville liquor store.
Today, nfrastructure has about 120 clients and employs roughly 330. It is headquartered at the Saratoga Technology and Energy Park in Malta, with offices in Clifton Park and Albany.
Revenues in 2012 were $53 million. Last year, they were about $68 million.
Pickett is in the midst of planning a new headquarters with the help of a $750,000 state grant.
The company is considering a 58,000-square-foot building at the new Synergy Energy Park at the corner of Route 9 and Kinns Road in Clifton Park. It was recently preparing to present its plans to the town but pulled the item off the Planning Board agenda because Pickett said more time is needed to refine the scope of the project.
"Because of the way everything is growing we've got a little more thought to do it responsibly," he said.
