The W-1 Drilling Permit Application subscription was converted to an electronic subscription beginning with the drilling permits approved on May 2, 2005.  

The electronic subscription will consist of a daily zipped file that will include images of every W-1 and plat approved the previous day, organized by RRC district.   Approved W-1 images will be in a .pdf format.   Plat images will be in a .tif format and may require legal size paper to print.   Files will be placed on the Railroad Commission's FTP server each night, and will be accessible the following morning with an individual user account and password, assigned by the Commission.   The FTP server is easily accessible using any Internet web browser.   The daily electronic approved W-1 application file will also be available on CD for those subscribers who prefer that method of delivery.

The cost of the subscription will be:

FTP:   $50.00 annually

CD:   $1,748.00 annually, including the cost of the daily CD and postage
