WE DID IT! THANK YOU FLOWER MOUND!
Election Day! Thank you to everyone for reaching out and supporting me and my better half, Janet, over the last two months. Civic duty has always been a cornerstone in my life and I am pleased to have met so many Flower Mound residents who share these views.

If you have not done so, cast your vote today. If you live east of 2499, your polling place is at the Police and Courts Building. If you live west of 2499, your polling place is at the library.
This year I was pleased to vote for Mike Walker and Jean Levenick in our local Town Council elections. Flower Mound is on the cusp of accomplishing many terrific things from adding additional parks, building a permanent senior center, and adding commercial opportunities throughout our town. Over the years I have spent quite a bit of time with both Jean and Mike and I know they are committed to ...a collaborative spirit to accomplish these goals. I would also like to assure residents there is no intention to alter the town's oil and gas ordinance unless new technology allows us to improve the ordinance. But the 1500 ft. setbacks, the current variance process is not going to change, and is not even being talked about. Anyone who says something to the contrary is attempting to be political, to help themselves by trying to invent a wedge to insert between our residents.

All that live in Flower Mound say how much they like our Town, and that didn't happen by accident, it happened because people like Jean and Mike have spent hours upon hours for years to help Flower Mound become the town we are today. We are a work in process, but they have already done much of the work. In two years we all will look back and say Mike Walker and Jean Levenick have been good for Flower Mound. They helped get us here today and will continue to do so. If you haven't voted yet Saturday is the last day to help keep the positive momentum moving forward. I would encourage you to cast your vote for Jean Levenick and Mike Walker.

Saturday
For my fellow Flower Mound friends, I hope you will join me in voting for Mike Walker for Town Council. I don't personally know Mike, but have done research on his record and positions vs. his opponent, and there appears to be no contest: he's a seasoned, balanced, well-verse...d citizen-official who will continue leading the town out of our recent anti-freedom and overly-contentious past.

His opponent, on the other hand, seems to want to return to the drama, argumentativeness, and knee-jerk controversies we left behind two years ago. She also seems to be making personal attacks that are not always fully informed (see attachment below correcting her mis-statements). Do we really want that atmosphere again?

FYI, she worked in politics for the moderate-liberal governor of California (Pete Wilson) and moderate-liberal deputy mayor of San Diego (Barbara Warden). When I was in government relations in California, I knew Pete Wilson, and he's a large part of why California is like it is today: an over-regulated economic wasteland. I don't know if Mike's opponent had much of a hand in those policies, but I don't want to chance moving Flower Mound in the direction of San Diego or California in general.

I post this because his opponent is prominent in church and ministry and that could influence some of you. As a fellow Christian I applaud her for her outstanding ministry work. However, that doesn't mean she'd be a good council member, especially compared to Walker.
