Railroad Commission Schedules Emergency Meeting for 9:30 a.m. Tuesday to Get Answers on Last Week's Blackouts

AUSTIN- The Railroad Commission has issued an emergency item to be included in the regularly scheduled conference at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, at the William B. Travis Building, 1701 North Congress, Room 1-111, First Floor.  The Railroad Commission has invited the Texas Energy Reliability Council to appear before the Commission's leadership to speak about last week's rolling blackouts impact on natural gas
service.

TERC was formed in the early 1970's. The Council's membership is made up of the state's major intrastate pipeline operators, key natural gas producers, natural gas storage facility operators, the state's major gas utility distribution operators, the Public Utility Commission, Electric Reliability Council of Texas, Railroad Commission, electric utilities and the General Land Office.
