Spirit Airlines will add nonstop service between Los Angeles and Denver. The carrier will begin flying one daily round-trip fight between the cities starting April 16.

With the new route, Spirit continues to beef up its presence in both Los Angeles and Denver.

In Denver, L.A. will give Spirit 10 nonstop routes once the service begins in April. Spirit's other nonstop destinations from Denver are to Chicago O'Hare, Dallas/Fort Worth, Detroit, Fort Lauderdale, Houston Bush Intercontinental, Las Vegas, Minneapolis/St. Paul and Phoenix. Flights to San Diego launch on Jan. 6.

At LAX, the Denver route will give Spirit nine nonstop routes. Spirit's other routes from the airport are to Chicago O'Hare, Dallas/Fort Worth, Detroit, Fort Lauderdale, Houston Bush Intercontinental, Las Vegas and Minneapolis/St. Paul. Spirit will begin service between LAX and Cleveland on April 16.

In addition to its nonstop options from each city, Spirit says it provides connecting service to more than 35 additional domestic and international destinations from both Denver and Los Angeles.
