DALLAS — A man identified as a person of interest in the death of Sharneen Norman, the daughter of former Dallas Cowboys player Pettis Norman, was found dead Thursday.

Detectives said Sharneen Norman was shot sometime over the weekend at her apartment in the DP&L Flats building at 222 Browder Street.

Her body wasn't discovered until Monday, when Pettis Norman called police to request a welfare check at the historic 20-story apartment building that once was home to Dallas Power & Light.

Dallas police have been investigating Norman's death as a homicide. The death of the person of interest is being investigated as a possible suicide, according to Conway Police.

Dallas Police are holding a press conference Friday at 3 p.m. to update the public on the case.

Pettis Norman played for the Cowboys from 1962-1970.
