Watchdog group Judicial Watch is filing a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against President Obama's Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The group is requesting "all records" related to aa Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Field Office Juvenile Coordination meeting that took place in February -- obtaining such records could shed light onto whether or not the federal government planned major border crisis that occurred this year.

Previously Deported Gang Member Caught Crossing Border

HOUSTON, Texas -- A criminal gang member who had previously been deported was captured attempting to cross the border between California and Mexico. Border Patrol agents arrested the 40-year-old Mexican national just after noon (PST) on Wednesday about five miles west of the Calexico Port of Entry. Approximately 130 agencies are subject to Sunset Commission review, generally every twelve years, although the Legislature can change an agency's Sunset date to a longer or shorter time. About 20 to 30 agencies go through this review every two years.
