KSTP says this is Navell Gordon in late July

Instead of bowing to increasing pressure to issue a public apology for its Pointergate story, KSTP dug in its heels last night with new allegations about Navell Gordon, the man they allege was making "gang signs" with Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges in the infamous Pointergate photo.

KSTP ran a story near the end of the 10 o'clock news stating Gordon was arrested for aggravated robbery August 2 and trumpeting several photos from what appears to be Gordon's Instagram account, listed under the alias "Montana the Real Chief."

The account contains photos taken last summer with a man who appears to be Gordon holding a gun and partying with friends, as well as a closeup of what looks like a semiautomatic weapon. It also shows him making the same pointing symbol KSTP says is the gang sign for the Stick Up Boys, although the station did not mention the gang this time around.

In January 2002, a part-time employee of St. Mary's Church in St. Paul sent a letter to a Catholic Parents OnLine in desperation. Five years earlier, the employee had been working in the room of Father Donald Dummer and "I was shocked by one video of boys 10 to 12 years of age playing basketball -- nude."

The once-secret letter, which was released Thursday by attorney Jeff Anderson, contains other allegations and suspicions -- that in the '90s Dummer rubbed his hands across a woman's breast, that he visited young boys after their release from the hospital, that he boasted of getting a hard-on during a wedding ceremony.

If Minneapolis hosts the Final Four it will look something like this
If an envoy of local business bigwigs and Minneapolis boosters were convincing enough yesterday the city could host the MLB All-Star Game, Super Bowl and Final Four within a span of five years.

The NCAA will announce which of eight finalist cities will host the Final Four from 2017-2020 on Friday. Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority Chair Michele Kelm-Helgen said the presentation "went off without a hitch" when we caught up with her on her way home from the presentation to the NCAA in Indianapolis.

St. Cloud Cathedral Kills Snow Days

Is new technology going to eliminate snow days?

Scores of kids around the state had school cancelled due to Monday's snowstorm, leaving them free to sleep in, sit back, and enjoy a free extended weekend courtesy of Mother Nature.

Lazy students got an extra day to procrastinate writing that paper they put off all weekend, while others had a chance to go sledding, build a snow fort, or, more likely, sit inside while live-tweeting a Netflix binge.

Unfortunately for students at St. Cloud's Cathedral High School, that wasn't the case.
