Here are our predictions for the Best Original Screenplay, which relative to its adapted counterpart has a ton of major contenders thanks to "Birdman," "Boyhood," "Mr. Turner," "Foxcatcher," "A Most Violent Year," "Selma," "Interstellar," "The Grand Budapest Hotel" and "Whiplash" all being eligible in this category. Which doesn't leave much room, though there sure are a lot of potential hopefuls en route. Should get interesting... and potentially a bit of shame given how many amazing screenplays might not make the cut.
