Jail and Dispatch Information
Jail/Dispatch Services
On April 1, 2007 the Cities of Southlake and Keller entered into an agreement in which the Keller Police Department provides dispatch and jail services for the Southlake Police and Fire Divisions. Since then, all individuals taken into custody by Southlake Police are taken immediately to the Keller Police Department and incarcerated in their holding facility. In 2010, Colleyville joined the consortium and the Keller-Southlake Emergency Communications Center was renamed the North East Tarrant Communications Center or NETCOM.

Although dispatch personnel are located at the Keller Police facility, there are at least two operators on duty at all times dedicated exclusively to dispatching Southlake calls for service. During times of heavy call volume - whether in Southlake, Keller, Colleyville, or Westlake - additional communications staff are on site to help maintain high service levels.

When Southlake citizens call 9-1-1 they still reach an operator without delay, despite the location outside of the City. This joint venture between the two cities has already proven advantageous for both communities, since communications staff for both cities is available during emergency situations.
