N. Kimball Ave. Street Widening

Project Information Overview
  • Project involves paving, utility, and drainage improvements for the widening of North Kimball Avenue from SH114 to Dove Road from a 2 lane asphalt road to a 4 lane concrete road with a divided center median and landscaping. 
  • Project will be constructed in two parts. 
    • Phase I, which was completed January 2013. 
    • Phase II, which is currently under construction.  
  • Project will also include 6-foot sidewalks the entire length of both the east and west side of N. Kimball Ave.


Phase II - Kirkwood Blvd to Dove Rd (Construction: Active and Ongoing)
  • Utility relocation and right of way acquisition are complete.
  • Construction contract awarded to Pavecon, LTD at the August 20, 2013 City Council regular meeting.
  • Construction from north of Kirkwood Blvd. to the intersection of East Dove Road began September 2013.
