ST. LOUIS • Police identified the man fatally shot Tuesday afternoon as he sat in a parked car as Jermaine Gross, 31, of St. Louis.

Gross lived in the 4800 block of Leduc Street, in the city's Kingsway East neighborhood.

Gross was shot in the upper torso and arms at about 3:50 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Leduc Street and Marcus Avenue, near his home. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Police say Gross and an acquaintance were sitting in a car when someone inside another vehicle came by and fired shots.

Police have no suspects.
