Unclaimed Property
Texas Property Code, Title 6. Unclaimed Property requires all Texas businesses and governments to report and remit any unclaimed property held for the rightful owner.  You may have unclaimed property if your name or business name appears on the unclaimed property listing.  The City of Southlake holds unclaimed property valued at $100 or less that is presumed abandoned under the provisions of and subject to Chapter 76 of the Texas Property Code.

• If you are the reported owner of the property, you must present proof of the unclaimed property to the Finance Department to establish the right to receive the property by submitting an Original Owner Claim.

• If you are an officer or other company official claiming on behalf of a corporation, partnership, sole proprietorship, professional association, non-profit organization or private organization, you must submit a Business Claim. There is no charge for the claim process.

The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts maintains unclaimed property information for individuals or businesses with more than $100 in unclaimed property.  For more information, please contact the Comptroller’s Office at (800) 654-3463 or www.ClaimItTexas.org.

Any person possessing a legal or beneficial interest in the unclaimed property may obtain more information by contacting:
