Crime Control & Prevention District
Purpose
The Crime Control and Prevention District is governed by a board of seven Southlake residents who have been appointed by the
City Council for staggered, two-year terms. The Crime Control and Prevention District Board works jointly with the City Council to ensure that funds raised through the half-cent Crime Control
sales tax are spent on programs and capital purchases that will reduce crime, increase public safety and maintain a high quality of life in Southlake.
