Thom Powers, DOC NYC artistic director, Ben Niles, director of "Some Kind of Spark", and Chris Moukarbel, director of "Banksy Does New York", discuss the DOC NYC film festival, including two documentaries in this year's festival,"Some Kind of Spark," and "Banksy Does New York," which both feature NYC as both setting and inspiration.

A BEAUTIFUL locally made film is "Capturing Grace" about a group of dancers with Parkinsons preparing for, and performing in a professional level dance production at Mark Morris Dance Studio, taught and led by Mark Morris dancers. It will premiere in NYC Nov 18th and 20th at NY City Documentary Film Festival.
It will show Nov 18th at 12:30 pm at 23rd St and Third Ave at Bowtie Chelsea cinemas, and Nov.20th at IFC Center at 5 pm. with Q&A with director and dancers after Nov.20th show

Note that there is also a beautiful book on Banksy's NY residency available which chronicles Banksy's daily stunts. "Banksy in New York" features contributions from many of the same experts and fans featured in the HBO documentary, but is written from more of an insider perspective, using a mix of humor and information to critically examine Banksy's work as it popped up across the city.
