Southlake 2030 Consolidated Future Land Use Plan (Ordinance 1022)
The Southlake 2030 Consolidated Future Land Use Plan is Southlake's vision for future development that serves as a guide for land use decisions.  The Plan is a policy document that allocates the general location, concentration, and intensity of future development within the City by land use categories.  The Plan also serves as a foundation for Southlake's zoning and subdivision regulations.  The Southlake 2030 Consolidated Future Land Use Plan updates and replaces the Southlake 2025 Land Use Plan, which was adopted in 2005.

During the 2030 planning process, a number of land use changes were proposed.  These changes are summarized below in the Summary of Land Use Plan Changes.  For more information on land use designations of the Southlake 2030 Comprehensive Plan the Land Use Categories and Definitions sections of the Consolidated Land Use Plan are also listed below.

The Consolidated Future Land Use Plan was approved by City Council on March 20, 2012.  A copy of the Consolidated Future Land Use Plan can be found below in addition to an updated Future Land Use Map.

    Sector Planning
Southlake approaches land use planning through sector planning, a method which divides the City into sectors to identify development issues and to develop recommendations for each individual area.  Land use recommendations from the sector and small area plans were combined into one cohesive document for the City as a whole to form the Consolidated Future Land Use Plan.  Additional recommendations developed in the sector and small area plans will be incorporated into other plan elements, such as the Mobility Plan, as appropriate.
