Parks, Recreation & Open Space / Community Facilities Master Plan
The purpose of the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan / Community Facilities is two fold: one, to implement the Southlake 2030 Plan recommendations for parks, recreation and open space and community facilities by better integrating parks planning with the land use and mobility elements and two, to respond to the needs expressed by Southlake citizens in their desires for leisure services and community facilities.

On Monday, January 31, 2013, the City of Southlake Community Services Department hosted a city-wide SPIN meeting and open house to obtain feedback on the Southlake 2030 Parks, Recreation, Open Space and Community Facilities Master Plan. One of the most important aspects of the Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Master Plan are the changes to the individual park concept plans. Anyone interested about future park development along with the Parks & Recreation Board, Southlake Parks Development Corporation, Planning & Zoning Commission, City Council and City Staff will rely directly on these plans for guidance. This makes the concept plans a critical part of the plan document and necessary of careful consideration when evaluating park improvements. It should be noted however that these plans are guidelines, and are subject to changing conditions and evolution. The actual development of the park may differ from the concept plans when presented to the City's boards and commissions. The following parks have concept plans associated with them.
